Sources of high-tech export growth in the macroregion

For many years, Russia has benefited mainly from the sale of raw materials, but as a transitionto a new level of development, ways to reduce the share of extractive industries in the economic structure wereconsidered. With the emergence of new external factors that directly affect the demand and price formation of thecountry’s main export products on world markets, the need for structural reforms has become a priority for itseconomic system to overcome the crisis. The paper studies regional production of high-tech products, which in thefuture may become the basis for expanding the share of manufacturing enterprises in the volume of manufacturedgoods. The structure of high-tech industries located in the regions of the Central Federal district is considered, andthe share of exports in the total volume of their production is highlighted. Based on Rosstat data for 2018, the typesof production that are developed and require additional incentives from Executive authorities have been identified.Due to the fact that the main consumer of products with high added value is located in the domestic market, the development of a set of support measures is necessary for the growth of its export volumes. It should be based ona system of incentives for enterprises, together with the active participation of institutions involved in bringingdomestic producers to foreign markets.
