Sources of shaktism and tantrism

The article studies the theoretical and practical problems concerning the sources of female cult in Hinduism, considers the Shaktist and Tantric features of the cult of femininity in Hinduism. We come to the conclusion that the prerequisites of the philosophy of Shaktism are found in the Shakti Upanishads, glorifying the great goddess and describing the rituals. They, also, laid the foundations of tantrism, since we can trace the search for ways to unite the image of Shakti and the divine Absolute in her image.
