The article examines the history of the formation of Ukrainian Russophobia. A brief overview of the most relevant literature on this topic is presented. The author chose the systematic method and the principle of historicism as the methodological basis of the study. Russophobia - dislike of Russians and Russia - is widespread in the world. The formation of Ukrainian Russophobia has its roots back in the Middle Ages, when there was rivalry between the Kiev and Vladimir-Suzdal principalities. Ukrainian Russophobia is dangerous not so much by Ukrainization and displacement of the Russian language among the inhabitants of Ukraine, but by relying on Ukrainian nationalism, which is associated with the activities of the OUN (Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists), which arose between the World Wars and became a collaborationist organization during the occupation of part of the USSR by Nazi Germany.
