Historical information science: reboot?

The article analyses the latest trends in the development of Historical Information Science, i.e. the interdisciplinary area, based on the use of computer techniques and information technology in historical research and education. We consider the conceptual differences between Historical Information Science and its application field «Digital History», related to the implementation of modern digital technology in creation the professional historical resources and preservation of historical and cultural heritage.
