In this article, the author reveals the role of the Orthodox faith in the development of society and the state of Russia. The process of baptism in Russia, as well as the consequences of the collapse of Kievan Rus into separate principalities. The author focuses on the consequences of those events and how they influenced the shape of the current Russian state.
