The article is dedicated to the main historical periods of professional and methodological aspects of geography teachers training. The main directions and problems of the contemporary historical period of higher education development are suggested for consideration. Topicality, aim and problems of the given research are revealed by the author in the article. The author is making an attempt to create an integral system of method learning in the process of geography teachers training in a pedagogical university.
