Historical preconditions for the creation of field collections in the forensic units of the Russian Interior Ministry

One of the central places in the information support for the detection, disclosure and investigation of crimes is occupied by full - scale collections, which are an element of forensic records and reference and information funds (reference and auxiliary records). The current state and position of the funds of objects presented in full - scale form in the system of forensic registration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia is determined by the initial goals of their management, the development of methods and means of forensic research, continuous improvement of the idea of the essence and structure of arrays of criminally significant information, as well as previously valid regulatory legal acts and methodological recommendations to them. In this connection, the article analyzes the activities of domestic ECPs in the second half of the XX century on the formation and maintenance of full - scale collections, the result of which is the establishment of specific prerequisites that led to the modern idea of forensic full - scale collections.
