Historic evolution process of Russian oilfield services

The article discussed consecutive periods of Russian oil-and-gas services evolution (OFS – segment). Estimation of energy resources and energy sources meaning for the world economy development is done. Important role of the OFS-segment in the energy resources production as well as its innovation part like a driver of oil-and-gas industry is shown. The Russian OFS-segment structure is considered and high level of influence of drilling segment on the total oilfield services volume is marked. Pointed that the OFS business significance for the national oil-and-gas industry is determined by the provision of necessary conditions for the stable working of all production complex. Such competitive advantages as an operation efficiency and implementing best practices of production activity optimization is counted. At the same time adaptability and innovativeness of the OFS-segment provide multiply effect for the science development, increases the level of requirements for education institutes, requires application of the modernness production technologies and units for the OFS equipment production which has special meaning for the Russian technology development. Historical specifics of Russian OFS market forming periods starting from 1960 to present time is considered and the results of analysis of the national integration process are clearly displayed. External and internal factors having an influence on Russian oil-and-gas services are indicated.
