The concept of cultural codes, which is currently becoming increasingly popular among researchers, includes the idea of forming a unique image of the culture of a nation (ethnos), which reflects the most important characteristics of the value-motivational paradigms of ethnic culture, within which its codes “originate”. Such paradigms are built in accordance with a number of key principles that create a complex network of interrelated and interdependent factors that influence the formation of cultural codes. One of the fundamental principles of the value-motivational paradigm is the principle of historical perspective, which allows us to identify historical milestones in the formation of cultural codes of the CIS countries of the Central Asian region. Its use in the work became the basis for the assertion that the unity of the occupied territory, the spread of Turkic languages and cultures, the scale of the Mongol conquests with the concomitant introduction of a number of cultural elements, common civilizational achievements based on the spread of European culture and education, an attempt to integrate different ethnic groups into a single Soviet people, the intertwining of various religious beliefs and their symbiosis with Islam, interethnic migration processes and the interpenetration of cultures have led to the formation of common cultural codes in Central Asia.
