Psychology of constructing the future: historical landmarks

The psychology of designing the future originated at the intersection of disciplines - neuroscience, evolutionary psychology, psychology of personality and social psychology, history, cultural studies, sociology, cross-cultural psychology, rhetoric, psycholinguistics. The paper attempts to reveal the entire history of research in the field of psychology of constructing the future in a single and coherent theoretical-conceptual line, from its origins - the philosophical and theoretical concepts of the early 20 th century - to modern scientific research. All living creatures, with varying degrees of success and awareness, use certain methods for the construction of the future - for the survival and adaptation, and the most intellectual ones - for improving their own efficiency, solving problems and creative tasks, improving their personal life and activity. Today, psychology needs to find a conceptual solution that will enhance understanding of the essence of the psychological capacities of the individual, small or large social group, and perhaps -the humanity in general.
