Historical milestones of the formation and modern aspects of Altai psychiatry

The article is devoted to the history of the creation and formation of the psychiatric service in the Altai Territory. The process of organizing a large psychiatric hospital is considered. Strengthening the positions of Altai psychiatry at the federal level is inextricably linked with the transformations that took place in the health care system and the achievements of modern psychiatric science and practice. The main stages of development and the current state of the provision of psychiatric care in the Altai region are described. A forecast of further prospective improvement of working methods is given, taking into account qualitative changes and achievements in the methodology of Russian psychiatry. The introduction of innovative technologies into psychiatric practice will increase the level and quality of specialized care for the population, ensure its availability, as well as the ability to form a long-term remission of patients.
