Studying the history of rural settlements is important for an objective analysis of the socio-economic development of both Siberia and the history of the country as a whole. The merits of people who lived and are living in rural areas remote from urban centers underlie the successful economic, political and cultural development of the entire country. The Tyukhtet District is no exception; the regional center of Tyukhtet is more than 3,000 years old, starting from the end of the 17th century, the indigenous population lived on its territory - Kets, Ostyaks, Kerzhaks, Chulyms. At the beginning of the 18th century, settlers appeared in the south of the volost, and at the beginning of the 20th century - exiles: Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, Lithuanians, Mordovians, Maris, etc. The Tyukhtet Volost for a long time was part of the Yenisei Province, thanks to the reserves of furs, timber, and free land the given territory developed and attracted more and more new residents. The author of the paper pays special attention to the works of local museologistV.V. Lozhkina, thanks to which in the regional center of the village Tyukhtet in secondary school No. 1 in secondary school No 1, a local history museum was opened and today operates with amazing and rare exhibitions and artifacts saying about the history of the village and region. The study used materials from the local archive, museum, and publication of memoirs of local residents who made a significant contribution to the development of the settlement.
