The history of symphonic units of Irkutsk, 1930-1958

The article deals with the history of symphonic units in Irkutsk, one of the oldest cultural centers of Siberia. The research covers the period of 1930-1958 - from the emergence of the first permanent orchestra in the city to the creation of the symphonic orchestra under the Irkutsk philharmonic hall. The author pays special attention to the activity of the symphonic orchestra of the Irkutsk radio-committee, around which the best musicians of the city united.
