History and imagination. “Inamourated Devil's” motiv in Pushkin's and Lermontov's poems

In this article the author considers the historical subbase of poems "Poltava" by Pushkin, and "Mtsyri" and "Demon" by Lermontov, the nature of artistic imagination and creation of a literary myth by these poets. The conclusion is that the history transformation was carried out in the literature of Russian Romanticism in a merger with religious issues
