The history of studying the Denisova cave in Altai

The article presents the main stages of studying one of the most famous archaeological monuments of the Paleolithic epoch on the territory of North Asia - Denisova cave. The study of this object has been conducted for several decades and deserves special attention. On the basis of the wide range of published sources analysis the article summarizes some information about the work in the cave from the moment of its discovery to the present time.
