The history of korfball: the origins and evolution of ball games in Europe

The sport historians still do not give a univocal answer to the question whether the korfball is an originally Dutch sport, invented by Nico Brockhausen, or just creatively altered version of basketball to play mixed teams. Historical research of literary sources about the origin and interrelationship between different games with manual ball can give an answer to this question.
