History of the Kuban Cossacks: the experience of a private museum

Museums play an indispensable role in maintaining and developing the national consciousness of people, as well as fostering a sense of patriotism. A new stage of Museum development was their active involvement in the tourism space in the region. The article is devoted to the only private Museum of the History of the Cossacks in Anapa district of Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation. As a rule, the founders of private museums are real companions, passionate and unselfishly committed to the idea of involving a wide range of people in acquaintance with the history and traditions of homeland. The founder of the Museum - member of the Russian military-historical society, a hereditary Cossack and entrepreneur Vladislav Brusnik. In a short time, the Museum has been honored with several certificates, it was visited by thousands of visitors. The Museum exposition dedicated to the ancient history of the region, the Cossacks, the great Patriotic war, and the history of the Russian armed forces. Almost all of its exposition presents items in the private collection of V. Brusnik. In the development plans of the Museum - creation in the courtyard of the reconstruction the front lines with trenches, bunkers, camp kitchen. V. Brusnik believes that familiarity with this interactive platform will be very useful for Patriotic education of Anapa students and tourists from other regions of the country.
