History of political terror in Russia at the beginning of the 20 century in Russian post-Soviet historiography

The key issues connected with the history of political terror in Russia at the beginning of the 20 century which were in the center of interest of the Russian historical science after breakup of the Soviet Union were analyzed. The author reveals those main approaches to the study of the history of "Russian Terror" which prevailed in Russian historiography at the turn of the century. The author defines the most perspective directions for further history of political terrorism in Russia research.
