The story of Mikhail Bakhtin’s publishing works in Iran

Mikhail Bakhtin, one of the most famous Russian literature theorists, in his work on the novel offers a built-in theory of the origin and characteristics of the genre of the novel. Since the 1920s, he wrote his books and articles about the novel, but his work remained unknown to the West until through translations of his works, opinions and ideas appeared first in English and then through the English have been introduced in other European languages. This paper presents the most famous in Iran translated works of Bakhtin and research of his work. In addition, the paper discusses the process of translating works of Bakhtin in Iran
