Changes in the environment caused by misuse of resources, such as global warming, urges our society to be more attentive to what and how we project, what we consume and how we pollute the planet. The ecodesign is a current trend in the design which will help to reduce ecological damage to a great degree and to save the environment for future generations. As our society begins transition to more eco-friendly use, the arbosculpture along with topiary art could become a part of a new direction in the city design. The history of the arbosculpture development in Russia and abroad are surveyed and the forecast for its future is given in the following article. The authorial supervision over formation of arboplastic sculptures in the conditions of the urban environment is presented. These types of vegetation are most often applied in city gardening and are capable to bear crown formation by means of flexibility of branches.
