History of Development, Current Status and Perspectives of Abdominoplasty of All Times

The literature review presents the history, status and perspective of abdominoplasty in plastic surgery. Today, abdominoplasty draws special attention due to the increased demand of patients to improve their body due to various deformities of the anterior abdominal wall. As a result of the analysis it was found out that in most cases it is recommended to perform the surgical intervention after weight loss, it gives a more beautiful aesthetic appearance, but it requires special attention and knowledge in the field of anatomy of the anterior abdominal wall, because of the subsequent development of complications. Historical aspects of abdominoplasty issues and modern views on the technique of intervention, prevention and treatment of complications are described.
