History of the development of pension security for civil servants in the Russian Federation

Pension provision is one of the most significant elements of the social protection system for civil servants in the Russian Federation. The article examines the basic principles of pension provision for civil servants, emerging and undergoing changes throughout the history of the development of the institution of public service. The main stages of the formation of the system are highlighted, and the relationship between the principles that arose earlier and the currently existing procedure for calculating pension payments is indicated.
