The history of the development of the methods of statistical analysis in the study of crime by domestic scientists in the 20-80-ies of the twentieth century

This article discusses the process of development of research activities of domestic scientists to study crime in the period 20-80-ies of the last century. The main stages and directions of development of research activity with use of methods of the statistical analysis on studying of crime and criminals, establishment of the factors influencing crime in the specified period are shown. The contribution of Russian scientists to the improvement of these activities was noted in the work. The article presents scientific, analytical and other organizations created in the period under review to study crime and develop measures of positive impact on it, shows their structure, the main directions of their activities and stages of development. The paper analyzes the process of formation and development of the order of collection, accumulation and analysis of statistical information of a criminal nature in our country in the period under review.
