The article examines the specifics of the Russian criminal law development, which regulates the responsibility for declining to suicide. The norms establishing the responsibility for declination to suicide in different historical periods are analyzed in detail. The main regularities of the legal norms development and problems of criminalization and penalization of the considered act are revealed.
