The object of the study is the development of women's volleyball history in the Krasnoyarsk Region in 1945-1991, the purpose is to study the history of the development of women's volleyball in the Krasnoyarsk Region in 1945-1991. Objectives: to trace the peculiarities of the development of women's volleyball in the post-war period. The main meth-od used in the work is problem-chronological. The paper provides a brief historiographic analysis, which makes clear that the amount of literature on this issue is extremely deficient. The fundamental work on the history of volleyball in the Krasnoyarsk Region is considered to be the monograph by V.S. Modanov. The author provides information on the development of volleyball in Siberia and the Far East. The development of volleyball as a sport was based on school and student volleyball. The first "big" women's volleyball appeared in higher educational institutions. The author provides information about student women's volleyball in polytechnic, pedagogical, agricultural, medical, technological, aerospace, architecture and construction and other institutes. With the creation of voluntary sports associations of trade unions and departments, women's volleyball was able to increase the number of teams. It also provides information about competitions at various levels, especially about the "Olympic Niva of Krasnoyarye". The names of famous athletes and famous coaches are given. Based on the results of the study, the author came to conclusions that volleyball in the women's team was becoming more popular, interesting and more dynamic. The development of women's volleyball in the post-war period showed an increase in the development of this sport, new athletes, new coaches appeared, by the end of the Soviet period, volleyball reached a completely different level.
