History of the formation and development of student construction brigades at the Kuban Agricultural Institute (1970-1980s)

The research is based on the data from the State Archives of Krasnodar Territory and the Center for Documentation of the Recent History of the Krasnodar Territory including the data introduced into scientific circulation for the first time. The article analyzes the features of formation and development of students' construction brigades in the Kuban Agricultural Institute in 1970-1980s. The methodological basis of the study is the principles of objectivity, scientism and historicism, as well as concrete historical and systematic methods of studying the issue. The general tendencies and distinctions between the activities of student construction brigades at the Kuban Agricultural Institute and practitioners of the All-Union Student Detachment in the period of the highest development of the construction brigades movement in the USSR are highlighted. It is shown that student brigades of non-construction profile, which worked mainly on agricultural objects in rural areas of the Krasnodar Territory, prevailed in Kuban Agricultural Institute.
