This paper examines Vietnam, a rapidly developing country in economic, scientific and industrial fields. Tourism plays a significant role in this development, where the history of the military conflicts of the second half of the 20th century has contributed to the organization of a specific tourist sector - militaristic tourism. Military operations are temporary, but their consequences, as a rule, are removed long enough, requiring great effort and material costs. Creation and sale of a tourist product do not imply serious investments, but bring significant income, which has a positive effect on the country economy. Modern tours are based on the use of strategic military sites of that period with high tourist attractiveness: the Ku-ti tunnels and the Ho Chi Minh trail. Significant tourism flows, in addition to economic revenues for the state budget, make it possible to visually study the history of Vietnam and the features of wartime.
