The article is devoted to the analysis of historical and ethnographic aspects of life of Belarusian peasant settlers that migrated to Priamuiye at the beginning of XX century. The research is based on generalization of oral history records of different generations of descendants of the settlers. Collected ethnographical data gives an idea of the principles of preservation and transformations of various elements of Belarusian traditional culture (principles of agriculture, family and calendar rites, features of spiritual and material culture).
