The historical and cultural bases of ethno-confessional tolerance in Udmurtia

The article discusses development of modern tolerant relations between the Finno-Ugric, Slavic, Turkic and other peoples of Udmurtia considered in the context of the regional ‘phenomenon’ in the historiography. Historically developed unique configuration of communicating ethnic groups has become an important premise of complementary relations between different cultures.
