Historical and cultural approach to the study of electoral behaviour of Russian citizens

The author presents an original historical and cultural approach to the study of electoral behaviour of Russian citizens. Considering that existing theories explaining voters' behaviour are seldom applicable to the Russian reality, the article describes the specifics of Russians' electoral behaviour in the context of the history and culture of the country, namely, the political culture of the citizens. The author discusses the features of the historical and cultural approach in the study of the electoral behaviour.
