«Kazan' ways»: the history of study

This paper concerned the South Trans-Uralian ways that are known under overall name "Old Kazan' road". Author has studied the pre-revolutionary publications, archive materials and published sources on the history of Ural region. As a result he concluded that very vague understanding now concept "Old Kazan' road" in really means a large network of historical ways of Southern and, partially, Middle Ural, that connected European and Asian parts of continent, as well as Southern regions with Northern.
