The social, political, and economic life of any country is in a state of constant change. The relevance of this study is determined by changing external conditions, changes in internal rules and processes, climate change and physical living conditions. The most dynamic, perhaps, is the technological sector of the economy, information and communication support of processes. The purpose of the study is to assess the impact of a set of sanctions from the international economic community on the economic and technological life of our country. In the course of the research, methods of observation, analysis, synthesis, and analogy were used. It should be emphasized that the telecommunications industry, due to its high-tech nature and susceptibility, was one of the first to adopt such changes. In the course of the research, the analysis of the timeliness and content of the response to the restriction of supplies of equipment and technologies in the communications industry was carried out. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the state and business entities have taken such effective countermeasures as the development and production of their own hardware and software products, introduced preferential taxation, organized business platforms for the exchange of experience and the conclusion of direct contracts, and developed the institute of digital attaches. This is a necessary, but not exhaustive list of measures to ensure the viability of IT companies and the industry as a whole.
