Research of Neolithic settlement complexes in the northeast coast of the Vistula lagoon was conducted from 1996 to 2015, initially at the Pribrezhnonye settlement and subsequently in the Prokhladnaya River area where another four settlements referred to various periods of the Primorskaya culture existence were discovered (Fig. 1-5). Research of the settlement complexes in the northeast part of the Vistula lagoon throws a new light on the main areas of the Primorskaya eastern group evolution compared to what was previously thought. Constructive features of dwellings, pottery assemblages and the entire material culture demonstrate dramatic differences from the Corded Ware culture. It is clear that the cultural model created earlier for Central Europe was artificially transferred to the region where this model did not work.
