Eighth meeting of Asian Paleolithic association: results of symposium and conference (Tokyo, Japan)

Asian Paleolithic Association is an international organization, whose activity is aimed at the development and improving of collaboration in archaeological and paleoanthropological Asian Paleolithic research. Agents of the Russia, China, Japan and Korea completed an agreement on establishing of association of the Paleolithic studies in Asia and neighboring territories. Annual meetings of the Association were conducted every year before 2014 and biennial - since that time. Eleven countries, including not only states of Asia, but also USA, France and Great Britain took part in Eighth Meeting of Association in Tokyo, Japan, in 2016, june 24-28. Under this event, the symposium «Variability, similarities, and the definition of the Initial Upper Paleolithic across Eurasia» and the conference on the newest Asian Paleolithic researches were held. Following the results of Meeting the members chose A. I. Krivoshapkin for presidency during the next two years and sited the place of next Meeting in 2018 - the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography, Novosibirsk.
