L.V. Blumenau on the right is one of the pupils of the Department of Nervous Diseases, Military Medical Academy, who courted fame domestic Neurology (I.P. Merzheyevskiy, V.M. Bekhterev, M.I. Astvatsaturov, L.M. Pussep, B.S. Doinikov, L.I. Omorokov, A.V. Triumphov, I.Y. Razdolski). L. V. Blumenau belongs to Russia’s first systematic study of the problem of balneotherapy nerve disease. His unique and fundamental guide, «Human’s brain» was required reading for several generations of neurologists in the country. L.V. Blumenau was bright and outstanding personality, well educated and not devoid of the poetic gift man, large and original scientist, an excellent teacher, highly qualified clinician.
