From the history of the art objects existence in the Irkutsk inhabitants’ lives in the second half of the XIX-beginning of the XX centuries: on the materials of the Siberian newspapers

The study considers the history of the art objects existence in the Irkutsk inhabitants’ lives in the second half of the XIX - beginning of the XX centuries on the basis of the periodicals. The article analyzes the articles of the Siberian newspapers revealing the main stages of art space development in the Irkutsk province. The articles illustrating the organization and holding exhibitions, activities of museums and private galleries, public events, etc. are considered. The degree of their editors’ participation in forming public opinion about the objects of fine art, art exhibitions, masters’ social and creative activities, etc. is determined. The integrated approach to analyze the articles which helps determine the value orientations of urban society in art is used.
