From the history of Krasnoyarsk State Trade and Economic Institute Formation

Next year Krasnoyarsk Trade and Economic Institute will be thirty years old. It is one of the universities created in the city during the last years of Soviet power. It is one of young universities, which began its development during the transition to market economy and was to adapt to the changing conditions of life. The history of this institution is unique, but still little studied. The research objective is on the basis of archival materials to give the characteristic of the history of emergence and development of Krasnoyarsk branch of Leningrad Institute of Soviet Trade named after F. Engels (LIST) - the predecessor of Krasnoyarsk State Trade and Economic Institute. This branch arose under the leadership of the Ministry of Trade of the RSFSR, which ensured its rapid formation and development. State financing of the construction allowed establishing the work of the branch in a year.
