Glimpses of history of higher schools' founding in the Russian Far East in the 1930-s

The article deals with the history of higher educational institutions in the Russian Far East, which currently continue their activity in the educational environment of the region. The authors introduce new data allowing to generalize and analyse the reasons, circumstances and conditions of their establishment. The paper discusses the data on the number of students and academic staff, the structure, the facilities and resources of the universities.
