From the history of Kuibyshev Branch of the All Union Research Institute of Aviation Materials (1959-1965)

The paper describes the role of the All Union Institute of Aviation Materials Kuibyshev branch in creating new materials for aircraft and space engineering as well as in strengthening the links between science and production. The main lines of activity in creating new alloys by materials engineers are shown. Research work of the branch in the early 60-s of the XX century is analysed.
