From the history of the Sychevskaya public library of the Smolensk province: followers of the beginnings of bibliographer G.N. Gennadi

The article is devoted to the activities of the Sychevskaya Public Library at the end of the XIX century. The first public library in the city is mentioned, established at the Sychevsky City School by the famous bibliographer G. N. Gennadi in 1861. New information about the public libraries of Sychevka, published in the Smolensk Bulletin in 1890 and 1896, is given.
