From sports history of the Penza region: track and field athletics relay on a prize of the newspaper "Penza truth"

In article history of development of one of forms of the sports movement in the USSR - track and field athletics relay at the regional level - in the Penza region is considered. The purposes and problems of a sports competition on a prize of the local newspaper «Penza truth» are characterized. The principles of the organization and carrying out relay are analyzed. Structures of participating teams, the population relation to competitions are studied.
