From century to century: for the 120th anniversary of the Perm Regional Museum

The article analyses two decades in the history of the oldest and largest museum in Perm Region - a public institution of culture «The Perm Regional Museum»: the first (1890-1900) аnd the last (2000-2010). We compare the main characteristic of those periods of the activities of the museum, the content and scope of problems that it decided early in its existence and is deciding now. There is a continuity in the basic forms and methods of the museum work.
