Manufacturing of an arched I-shaped pillar with a thin cross-corrugated wall

The article presents methods of manufacturing arched I-shaped pillars with a thin cross- corrugated wall. Particular attention is paid to the method of manufacturing a T-shaped billet with a thin cross-corrugated wall by bending. Sequence steps of manufacturing with photographs of a full-scale specimen are described in the paper, a method for determining the forces for bending a T-shaped billet under the assumption that the wall works as an accordion undergoing stretching over the entire middle surface and plastic bending in sections located at the tops of the corrugations is given.
