It has been established that changes in lymphocyte number in peripheral blood at general adaptation reaction have biphasic character. With early lymphopenia observed within the first 24 h after stress, lymphocytosis developmentis, registered over 168 h. P-adrenoreceptor blockade reduced the development of early lymphopenia and increased lymphocyte number in 24 and 48 h. Participation of P-adrenergic mechanisms in increase of a bone marrow cellularity and in decrease of thymus weight at the latest stage of the general adaptation reaction has been shown.
