Today, the activity of many enterprises in the field of public catering is one of the key elements of both the domestic and the world economic system, and therefore, ensuring its effective development is an important element in ensuring the rationality of the functioning of the entire economic system as a whole. The effective use of services provided by modern enterprises and organizations operating in the field of public catering, taking into account the principles of digital transformation of society, allows for the rational development of the entire economic system, since this area of activity is an important «engine» of social progress. The scientific article examines the theoretical, methodological, as well as applied aspects of the investment activities of public catering enterprises, which make it possible to assess the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the stability and efficiency of the entire economic sector under consideration. To assess the stability of investment attractiveness, a study of investment projects was carried out on the basis of the classical approach to business organization, as well as the «dark kitchen» approach. The results of the analysis can be used by scientists and practitioners when organizing the investment activities of modern enterprises operating in the context of the digital transformation of society.
