Changes in the policies of the regional party and Soviet bodies in the rural areas at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War

This paper deals with the activities of the authorities of Mordovia in rural areas in the first months of the Great Patriotic War. The process of merging the Party power with the state is exposed, when in the circumstances of the then existing political regime, a number of functions of the Soviet authorities were transferred to the Party bodies.
