Alteration of left ventricle systolic and diastolic function in early period after coronary stenting in cad patients by Doppler echocardiography

The aim of the research was to assess the alterations of left ventricular systolic and diastolic function in early period after coronary stenting. 160 patients with coronary artery disease were examined before and two day after coronary stenting. The mitral inflow profile was measured by pulsed Doppler, the mitral annulus velocities and regional velocities of each left ventricular segment (16 segments) were measured by pulsed Doppler tissue imaging. The study showed improvement of global and regional systolic function and impairment of global and regional diastolic function in early period after coronary stenting
