The effect of ultrasonic treatment on the composition of the phases of the suspension of activated sludge of sewage treatment facilities. Focus of research has been activated sludge, selected after the secondary sedimentation tanks and excess activated sludge is compacted. It is established that ultrasonic treatment shows considerable changes in the composition phase of the suspension of activated sludge. Heavy metals from the solid phase into the liquid state and this process is most pronounced for lead and zinc and the lowest for copper and cadmium. The degree of removal of heavy metals depends mainly on the energy consumption for ultrasonic treatment, and to a lesser extent on the type of radiator. The content of heavy metals in the solid phase of excess activated sludge subjected to ultrasonic treatment, lower limit values for precipitation used in the soil.
