Changes in the third part of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. Information memorandum

Provides an overview of the most significant changes made in 2013 in the third part of the Russian Civil Code, relating to almost all institutions of private international law. In particular, it analyzes the changing norms of general provisions, the provisions of the personal law of legal persons, rules on the law applicable to the property rights, contractual and non-contractual obligations. The authors believe that bringing detailing many of conflict rules and the introduction of specific regulations for certain types of relationships will create a clearer understanding of the essence of conflict rules and avoid many mistakes in their application.
