In the paper, legal challenges of the digital economy are addressed and evaluated. The principal changes observed in economic relations are revealed, which are caused by the development of the digital economy and require proper legal regulation. The risks of new digital behaviour are shown, along with the legal remedies against them. The political-legal trends of reforming the Russian legislation existing in the conditions of digital economy are shown.
